Welcome to the French Connection Sew Along!
Monique and I have known each other for a long time – we met at Quilt Market many years ago. We don’t see each other very often and wanted to work on a project together. The French Connection Sew Along was born.
We’ve designed two small quilts that we will do in two separate sessions. One now, and one in October. The designs are a collaboration – we designed each others borders!
My quilt will be the first project. These are the fabrics I’ve picked out. There are two versions of the same block. they look really different, don’t they? You can do this as a scrappy project if you like, just be sure the red fabrics are different enough so the blocks stand out from each other.
Some of my favorite notions to use are Alphabitties from Fat Quarter Shop, Clover Wonder Clips, the Perfect Piecing Seam Guide and the Fit to Be Quarter ruler.
